Wood Nook Caravan Park in the Yorkshire Dales

About Wood Nook Caravan Park

The Thompson family has run Wood Nook Campsite & Caravan Park for the past 40 years. Over the years many changes have taken place in order to meet the needs of holiday-makers visiting the Yorkshire Dales. Today, Wood Nook boasts campsite pitches (some with WiFi Zoneelectricity points), pitches for touring caravans (including seasonal pitches), static caravans to rent, a full range of family facilities and free Wi-Fi for all.

One of the main reasons why our customers keep returning to Wood Nook is our stunning location in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales - close to Grassington, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and much inspiring scenery. There’s plenty to do in the Dales – you will find information on Yorkshire attractions in our Local Information Hut.

Visit Wood Nook Campsite & Caravan Park and take some time out to discover the Yorkshire Dales at your own pace.

What our customers have said

"Camping with two small children age 3 and 6 in a tent with no electrics in April was a great success, largely due to the site, location, staff and the great weather for the time of year.
It's a quaint family run site in an unspoilt scenic location in the heart of the Yorkshire dales."

"*The surrounding area is beautiful with lots of great walks - especially enjoyed walking to Linton Falls!
*Playground for the kids is great.
*The owners were very friendly and helpful.
*Small shop sold fab home made cakes - YUMMY!"

"Charming caravan and camping park in beautiful surroundings - away from road so no overnight traffic noise. Camped next to field of sheep, loved by my children and also by me! Sufficient space between pitches (I have nothing to compare it with!).
Lovely courtyard with toilets, laundry, shop, reception, washing up sinks. Friendly and helpful staff (thanks Val).
All in all a pleasurable experience albeit a short one, we'll definitely book and return. "

"We stayed here with 2 other families and had a wonderful week. The owners were very friendly and helpful, the shop adequately stocked and someone always on hand if you needed help. Both toilets and showers great especially the ladies toilets, they were lovely. The views from the campsite were wonderful with a lovely walk at the back of the site. There are some great places to visit, we went to Grassington, Bolton Abbey (the stepping stones were great fun) and the kids had a paddle in the stream in Burnsall."
