Availability and payment.
At Bank Holidays we usually only accept bookings of 4 nights or more in
advance with the exception of the Mayday weekend, which is a 3 night minimum.
Sometimes, however, we do operate a minimum 5 night booking - please
enquire for details. During the high season and at Bank Holidays we
recommend that you book well in advance. At these peak times pitches must
be either vacated or re-booked by 12 noon. Usually at these busier times
we will ask for payment in advance to confirm your booking.
1 night bookings
Sorry, but unless your are walking to us or cycling to us we do not
accept 1 night bookings in advance for busy times of the season - please
ring on the day for availablity.
Electricity for campers
Would customers with tents who require electricity please note that we
have a very limited number of these pitches available. These pitches do
also double as caravan pitches throughout the season so have a small amount
of fine gravel on them. Please bear in mind that you may require an extra
groundsheet or something like a piece of old carpet / thick cardboard
to protect your main groundsheet. Also, if you require electricity and your
tent is large or very long, for example one of the modern long dome tents
or an 'Octopus' style tent, we may have to ask you to straddle 2 pitches
to comply with fire regulations. If this is the case we will also have
to charge you for two pitches.
Please note: In the vast majority of cases the above does not apply if you do not require electricity for your tent.
Arrivals
On your date of arrival we ask that you do not arrive before 12.30pm - this gives those people who are leaving time to get away from the park before others start arriving. If your unit is particularly large or long, please inform us when booking.
Parking
If you have visitors coming to see you during your holiday then please ask them to park their car in the visitors car park which is at the entrance of the caravan park - for this there is no charge. Extra cars on the Caravan Park take up room and will be charged for. For security reasons all visitors cars on the car park must give their registration numbers to reception. All visitors' cars must leave the park by 10pm.
The owners of Wood Nook Caravan Park shall not be responsible for any damage either to visitors' cars or any property of anyone staying on the caravan park at any time under any circumstances.
Dogs at Wood Nook
Dogs are welcomed on the park but they must be kept on a short lead at all times. Noisy dogs are not welcome. We have a large dog walking area that is fully enclosed - you may let your dog off the lead here but an abundance of rabbits means that your dog may not return! Please also be aware that neighbouring fields may contain sheep, lambs or cows at any time of year. The owners must clean up any fouling on the park and driveway. Dogs must not be left unattended anywhere on the park.
Free Wi-Fi Internet at Wood Nook
Wood Nook is now an 'Internet Hotspot' so that any customer with a suitably
equipped computer or smartphone can access the internet through a broadband connection
while staying at Wood Nook. We also have a public computer with broadband
Internet access for other customers.
